    "He's the best rapper alive since the best rapper retired." (Jay-Z) Mainly cause he doesn't use pen and paper to write his lyrics. He just flows over every beat he's on and it's like magic to some. Others can't do that...they need pen and paper and sometimes that isn't always good. So is he the best rapper alive? "Um Yep!!!!"

    to tell you the truth it just an opinion i live in htown HOUSTON and well i think some of the rapper here can compare and give compertion to lilwayne like chamillionaire and zro and trae but i would say lil wayne is the best rapper and its an mc cuz he can rap to any beat he does mixtape and he like chages his tone to some music so ill say hes the best right now but he aint the best rapper to touched the mic cuz that title goes to TUPAC but let jsut say SOUTHERN MUSIC IS THE **** RIGHT NOW

    Best Answer - Chosen by Voters lil wayne? because he came out with some hit songs? it seemed like he blew up when fireman came out but no one liked him before that. its weird. but no he isnt... hes got a cool voice for rapping but if you are judging on lyrics then no way. i guess some people think "nacho cheese" is pretty clever. but nas, jayz, lupe fiasco, talib kweli, common, ja rule, kanye west... i think they all are better than lil wayne... they just havent had the huge recent success and catchy beats
