Most of the things he says are put in interesting way and catchy. Besides most ppl 4get lil wayne ain't always sound computerized an on every1 song.
ReplyDeleteThere are 4 elements to Hip-Hop, some say 5:1) DJ (music, sound conductor)2) Emcee (rapper, crowd control, master of ceremonies)3) Graffiti (art)4) B-Boy (dancing, breaking, etc)5) B-Girl (some people consider it the 5th element. some people group b-boy and b-girl as 4th element.)there is nothing wrong with a rapper that dances because in the world of hip-hop there is the b-boy/b-girl. unless you dance like an idiot then yea i understand.people hate on wayne because most of his lyrics suck. even when he uses punchlines and metaphors, most of it sucks. it sounds creative (thanks to his "Producers") but stupid at the same time. Wayne is also known for jacking lines. youtube it if you don't believe me.it doesn't help wayne when he claims "best rapper alive". he's the best selling rapper of the 2000 era but not best rapper alive. many hip-hop heads listen to a lot of hip-hop, from underground to mainstream, all around the world. not just what plays on the radio and in America and that's why most don't think he's that good.the radio does not play the best ****, they play whatever record company pays them to play. Wayne is all hype and he has a great marketing team or should i say brainwash team because that's what marketing really is. they brainwash you into buying something. i majored in marketing.i listen to a lot of hip-hop and there are many emcees out there that can spit and write better punchlines and metaphors than him. i'll just give you one rapper and his name is One.Be.Lo. aka One.Man.Army from the group Binary Star. Download Binary Star's album "Masters of the Universe".Masters of the Universe is a classic album. Ask any Hip-Hop head and they will agree. This album was released in 2000. Every person i introduce this album to has agreed that this is one of the most amazing albums ever made in the Hip-Hop genre. And no it's not gangster, it's not hood, it's just straight hip-hop. The lyrics punish all of Waynes music.
ReplyDeleteHip hop now is about beat and that's about it. Lil wayne raps about random stuff. Look at Tupac for example. He raps about his life. Listen to some songs like Dear Mama, Life Goes on, and more. Each song of his has a meaning. Lil Wayne doesn't have anything on the Classic rappers like Tupac, Biggie, and more. Hip hop shouldn't be just a random bunch of words put together. It should have a meaning, and that's why Tupac is hailed as one of the best rappers that ever lived.
