can someone give me a way to prove it to someone because you really cant if you look at album sales lil wayne is off the charts even tho he sucks, and i know some of you would say lyrics but how can you "prove" it

ReplyDeletewell sales don't mean jack.....But Try 8 straight platinum albums.....thats something not many can say....Other than that there is no way to prove an opinion. Just compare works...which one has depth, which one is more vivid, who has a better concept of rhyming, diction....sh*t like that.
ReplyDeleteGo on youtube and find a video where an MC names his favorite or top rappers of all time. Talib Kweli and Jadakiss are 2 I know. They will have NaS in their top 5.Also go to about.com or something with a top list. Albums, Songs, Artists. Nas will be top 10 for almost all.Or just compare tracks, NaS is obviously more lyrical on It Ain't Hard to Tell or Nas Is Like, than Lil' Wayne is on anything.
ReplyDeleteWell wayne is aight . I like his lyrics because they drip with metaphors but i dont think hes that good at the rock thing or singing like he trys to do. Nas on the other hand is a unbeiliveable rapper , anyway to get to the point you can say Wayne is good . But Nas is a pioneer of hip hop , he helped create it
ReplyDeleteI think Lil Wayne has had a better overall carrer nd is all in all a better artist nd MC...it's close, very close but Wayne's been more consistent nd diverse...Nas has the best song out of all there tracks though...(with One Mic)...nd the best overall album (Illmatic is better than any of Wayne's albumbs)...but i go with Lil Wayne overall...

You can't deny that Nas uses more metaphors, his stories have more description, he raps about more important topics, he's been more influential, he receives better criticism, he's been around longer, and he uses more complex rhyme schemes than Lil Wayne. If that's what's important to you, then Nas is better.And you can't deny that Wayne has more quotable punchlines, and more fans than Nas. If that's what's more important to you, then Wayne's better.
