Is Lil Wayne and southern rappers killing todays rap music?
Most southern rappers like Souja Boy and Lil Wayne can't rap for sh!t all they do is make beats and auto tunes. They have no rap skills its all about the beat and hook southern rappers are killing today's rap music.

TRUE GREAT RAPPERS are being over looked because so many of these teeny bopper fans only like the beat and hook and real rap skills and being over looked.

  9. i agree with what u said about Soulja Boy, but Lil Wayne(in my opinion) is one of the illest mc thats out now. his delivery....sick, like in the songs,- Forever, We Takin Over, Respect My Conglomerate just to name a few. also dope is T.I., Luda, Outkast all from the south. and hey B Rabbit on your comment "Nas killed hip hop and Soulja Boy is saving it"? LMFAO u don't know sh*t about hip hop.

  10. Hell yea they are. But hey, they're out to make their money so what do they care? I just feel bad for the next generation. How will they distinguish what's good and bad when all they hear is bad music? Hip Hop, in regards to it being mainstream, is pretty much dead. I don't see any rapper on Top 40 billboard or whatever you call it trying to revitalize it. They're just digging in the coffin and stealing what's left on hip hop..just disrespecting it in all shapes and form :/

  11. No I used to think so but there not. Mainstream hip hop might be dying but hip hop will always live underground and is as strong as ever. Besides, Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy fans aren't true hip hop fans anyway. They don't even know who someone like Rakim, KRS-One or Big Daddy Kane is."Ask a Jay-Z fan about Big Daddy Kane.....Don't Know him" - The Game

  13. I disagree. I don't like Lil Wayne but his music isn't that bad. And without him no Jay Sean (who's okay) and Drake (who's good) so Lil Wayne isn't that bad. Soulja boy on the other hand is just a retarded monkey that got lucky and people took pity on. Chamillionaire is also from the south and he's a real rapper, and I'm pretty sure Paul Wall is too and he's also good.

  14. "They have no rap skills its all about the beat and hook southern rappers are killing today's rap music." WTF?*sigh* so southern rappers like Scarface, UGK, Chamillionaire, Ludacris, Andre 3000, T.I, & Little Brother "have no rap skils" damn than the rap game is ****** up then right?EDIT: (this s**t is gonna sound like i'm rambling) LMAO i re-read your question and i think its kinda funny how you only talk bout "Soulja Boy & Lil Wayne" and i don't think its cool for you to call out just two people if you want to say an entire region killed a genre cause you should bring up Rick Ross too riiiiight? cause he was a CO and now he's rapping about drugs, women and money which is now a contradiction to his prior job. and how bout Dem Franchize Boyz they came out with "Lean wit It, Rock wit It" a whole year prior to Crank dat but i don't ever hear how they killed hiphop. actually i thought snap was a sub genre that came from breakdancing..... damn i'm gettin tyred of typing so i'm just gonna leave it on....I murdered your question.... & have a good night :)
