I just do not understand. He simply isn't on the same level as other artists such as Nas, Lupe, Mos Def, Rakim, Talib Kweli, etc. Saying Lil' Wayne is the best rapper alive is an insult to hip-hop. Why can't they accept the fact he is not the best rapper alive? I wonder if they ever heard of Nas.

ReplyDeletelisten...little kids are brainwashed by the media, its not their faults...for eg growing up in the 80s!!! you would be chillin like bob dylan listeing to real hip hop, but if your still young, from where are you going to get to hear real hip hop music if it was 20 years ago, or if its underground...but fortunately there are kids (like moi) who stumble upon this type of music and discover the true treasures of real hip hop music
ReplyDeletelike i always think and say, people will believe anything if you tell it them enough. back in the day, you would get dissed to **** for talking that sort of bullshit. now rappers don't want to speak out against wayne because really, it is only gonna get lil wayne more publicity. it doesn't matter what you do to lil wayne, he will get media attention. kids now want to listen to the guy because they listen to what they are told to. me, im young and a teenager, but i definitely don't listen to lil wayne, soulja boy or anyone like that. i listen to real hip hop like talib kweli, kanye when he was good (and still is), lupe, jay z, mos def, common, dr dre, rakim, and even other genres! thats another problem, people my age don't have much taste in music at all.

ReplyDeleteBecause Lil Wayne is everywhere.. hes all that people hear and ppl tend to like what they are most familiar with. Personally, I like Lil Wayne but i dont think hes anywheree near the talent level of eminem, lupe, kanye, jz, andree 3000, and many others. But weezy is the star of this generation, so of course those who are unwilling to be openminded musically will think hes godly. hes not the worst rapper in the world, but he is definitely the most overrated.

Or when people used to listen to B.I.G or 2pac??? I'm only 15 and everybody at school or anywhere you go is all over Lil Wayne's Balls.......... I tell them you want good Hip Hop then listin back to the old school rappers like 2pac, Biggie, NWA, Eazy E, etc..........Most of his fan's are lil 13 year old boys and girls that don't know **** bout good hip hop...........if you minus the beats and keep the lyrics your going to hear a piece of ****!!!!! He's over rated and i'm ******* tired of listening to that ***** every ******* day on the radio........He's voice is so ******* annoying and he raps about ****...........If i wanted to I could rap about getting head in a club with a sack of money in my hand and saying the same **** for 3 and a half minutes!!!!!!!!!
